It is taking the piss to expect you to spend that much to go to the wedding.We went to one in Italy and one in France last year. With the flights, hire car, hotel, new outfit for Mrs Battered and the wedding gift we must have easily spent £800 on each one.
Mind you, we got married in Edinburgh and a lot of London friends came up to that at their own expense, so maybe I am being a little hypocritical.
