I couldn't begin to tell you what the first thing I bought from HMV wasbut a visit there and to the big Oxford Street Virging Megastore used to be the cornerstone of Saturday trips to London with friends when I was about 16.
More recently I often pop in to see what Box Sets they have on sale. I got Fringe season 1 for £7. I think that's the last thing I bought there.

I remember going into that Virgin megastore when I went to London, and buying 3 albums for £12.IIRC, they were From Here To Infirmary - Alkaline Trio, Soulfly - Soulfly and Roots - Sepultura.
