Me too mate.
I got my internet today so this evening I'm going to set up OPERATION ULTIMATE MEDIA CENTRE...
- the TV viewing/recording works perfectly*, I would say it's slicker than Sky/Virgin/Etc
- the downloaded TV shows/films viewing is working, but not perfectly, I'm going to install Boxee and try that. It all plays fine, but it doesn't show up things like dvd covers and synopsis, which would be sweet.
- I need to get the uTorrent set up right, with a 'watch folder' that is connected to DropBox, so I can be at work and just drop a torrent in a folder and KABLAMMO, it'll start downloading ready for viewing when I get home.
- It'll be able to do extremely high end gaming via OnLive, if I fancy it, but I have a PS3/360 for that.
- It'll serve up the whole libairy to the ipad in the bedroom on in the bath.
- I bought a wicked remote control for it, like a sky remote, but it has a circle that acts as a mouse as well as the usual shortcuts to access different bits.
- It looks fucking slick
- The whole thing costs less than £300, and if you exclude the copywrite that might be infringed in places, then it'll be waaaay better than sky/virgin/bt-visin.
- Might be able to stream stuff from the states.
- Quality is second to none, I have about 5tb worth of space that I could use.

* My one flaw is that I should have gotten a duel-tuner tv card so I don't have to watch what I'm recording.
