My ma's dad would have been awesome to meet, if a little too much into discipline.
He was a senour warrant officer in the Scot's guards. and fought in the first world war at the very end. Served until just before the second world war, and ended up in the home guard.

My great nan and granddad were alive until I was ten, that was amazing.
But my uncle died when he was a teen, way before my time. I don't have any other uncles.
