I have to say, I'm not into metal at all these days.
I just liked shouting when I was a nipper.

I still love a spot of heavy rock but nowhere near as much as I did when I were a lad

My cousin is in some sort of shouty band.
I'll support him like but for actually enjoying music then no, not in the slightest.

I have to admit I'm much more likely to enjoy a bleepy bangy band I've never heard of
than a guitar-based one. What has become of me?!

It's quite a problem when DJing a metal night to teenagers who've never heard of Metallica
I'm trying to educate them by dint of explaining (through the medium of song) that almost no good rock or metal music has been produced in about five years

I used to go to see folks like Napalm Death and Extreme Noise Terror.
Not really home listening though.

My mate Biddy used to listen to that stuff to help him sleep.
Got to worry about what he was trying to drown out, really.

Perhaps his head imagined him at victorian lawn parties and he just couldn't handle it.

We were all rather keen on LSD in those days. I think he may have gone a little bit menkle.
