Right. Firstly a lot of german "quality" brands are re-badged Far Eastern stuffespecially in electronics. Secondly, how are you proposing we magic a "quality" UK brand out of thin air, exactly?
They have a reputation which allows them to charge more to cover the higher manufacturing costs of first world labour. They aren't somehow "better" at making things, it's all an elaborate ruse that relies on brand repuation above all else. That being the crucial factor that UK brands are somewhat lacking.
People will pay more for an Audi than a Seat. It's still the same fucking car built, more or less, by the same people with the same stuff.
