I has 2 bezzie mates (discounting people I met through here).One was at school with me when we were 10, then we lost touch for years when my folks moved house, but met up again in our late teens and have stayed close ever since. The other I met through a dating site, we were together a year or so and then transitioned to friends, I have no regrets and we remain bestest buds without ever getting any urge to get back together.
I get on with both of them because they are the same flavour of odd as me, so we understand each other.
