I was in Barrow a couple of weekends ago. Walking on Walney Island, specifically.I've been to worse places than Barrow. Shame it's economy is so fucked really, it could be a great town.
Although it's all relative, I'm from Basildon, so don't have a high baseline.

I live in Bradford now. It's worse than Barrow but it has better things nearby.My old man was brought up on Walney. We chucked his ashes into the wind at Biggar on Christmas Day.
