I have heard tales that, outside of the touristy and politilol areasthat Washington's *proper* ropey. Like, even worse than Brixton ropey.
Nobody does squalid quite like the Americans. Not even Brazilians, and they *really* try.

I have friends there.I haven't been to visit since their wedding in 2008 and, what with no longer being tied to always going to Canada, I'm free to visit!
