Pretty much every city (apart from Sydney) that has hosted the Olympics has ended up with more debt as a result.You can't get a return on that much capital investment in the period in which more money flows in on the back of the Olympics. This is why I was hoping Paris would beat London to host this year's games.
It's just a giant version of a school sports day anyway, but with less eggs and spoons.
