I had this same conversation the other day.
The upshot of my response was "fuck you, then."

I like to handle things in a calm, rational and above all adult manner.

She always agrees to meet me, fucking hell she's coming upto Newcastle in a couple weekends to stay with me.
But it's always me inviting her/arranging things. I'm very wary of looking needy/clingy.
