I leave radio 4 on, with the time switch set for an hour or so.
It helps to distract my mind from the pressures of real life.

Since I turned 30 I have found myself listening to radio 4 in the car. I like it.

Just wait for the tufts of hair growing out your ears.
Radio 4 is the best radio in the world.

Even the shit stuff is better than a lot of other radio stations.
(, Thu 28 Jun 2012, 22:35, Reply)
That is true.
We listen to the most dire crap on the radio at work.

We used to leave R4 (and the world service) on through the night
When little tangle was a baby. This was in the days when it still had the theme music at the start of each day, which in our sleep-deprived state was utterly bizarre.

This is why I have a timer.
I used to be woken by sailing by or the UK theme. Now if I wake up, I reset the timer and get another hour, which I don't because I'm soon back to sleep.
