This wouldn't surprise me at all, tbhHowever, a good part of it is as Poppet says above, so much of it is spoonfed to you. ICT at GCSE in particular is guilty of this, I didn't learn anything, as the teacher showed us how to do every single step of every exercise. Then again, he was a shit teacher*, so I'm not certain that's universal.
Spent more time having a laugh with the chavs in the class than he did actually teaching, this later extended to 'losing' work he'd already marked, and blaming us for not handing it in.
