i couldn't hack it
the whole eating dinner at 3am and being in an 8 day cycle fucked my shit up. i mean, there were sleep issues and mental anxiety too, but mostly it just made me shit like a startled goose.

I've been doing them for more than 20 years though.
And my usual run is two days then two nights followed by a sleep day and a few days off.
It ain't so bad.

i did 2x12hr day
then 2x12hr night, then 4 off. first day you get in at about 8am and sleep till 4ish. then you gotta get right to get up at 6am on day five. ruined me. lasted 3 years, gained three stone and was going out of my fucking mind. i'm solar-powered, i swear. buildings with no windows and weird work patterns turn me into a mentalist.

Oof.
My shifts are all 12hrs, but at least the start times are always 7am and 7pm.
Apart from a few years back when we went to permanent days and had to start at 5:30am, that nearly fucking killed me.
