If the state-manipulated media convinces us that we're all too incompetent to live, we'll hand over power to to the state, piece by shiny piece.

Then, by the time we're completely state-controlled in every area of our pathetic lives, we'll be too scared to do anything about it, because we'll have been brainwashed into thinking that we'd never survive without them.
