I didn't have a great deal to 'get away with' as my parents were fairly liberal minded.
There was a tacit agreement that I would deny that I smoked and they would accept my lies.
Like Monty I regularly came home in various states of inebriation, my mother drove me home from the party where I first took acid and I quickly made my excuses and went straight to bed.
Before I left home I used to always smoke a joint out of my bedroom window in the evening and was never called on it.
