It's the same with records.
In order to make it worthwhile they would have to produce limited runs of the reprints, with a premium price.
Then these would all sell out to collectors and soon you would end up with sellers flogging the reissues at similar prices to the originals.

High Rise II by Japrock legends High Rise was repressed as a 1000 run about ten years ago.
It's £500. Wot cunts, I really want that. cf Shogun Assasin soundtrack.
