I can sympathise, but really you shouldn't make this sort of mistake more than once
why would you not check your savings account the day after to see if teh money has made it through, if it hadn't then call the bank and find out whats going on. You do have to take some responsibility with your own money.

Totally agree (oh god, not again)
I'm just not sure why they can't start criminal proceedings against the person that spent it. It's pretty clear in law, I think, that it's still theft.

Apparently, or at least according to the people who comment on these articles, it is actually fraud, not theft.
Because you're illegally downloading someone elses money.
