I was just looking for a suitable birthday gift for someone who is hitting 40 this year and I thought... 'I know, why don't I get them a nice Mont Blanc fountain pen, like the one I had.'*

That ain't happening. Far too expensive.

*I say 'had' I put it down somewhere and can't find it, I'm guessing that the 3 times I've used it were to sign cheques with it, I'm also guessing that the value of the cheques was less than the cost of the fucking pen in the first place.
