In IE you can't turn off images per tab. Only for the browser. Why should they do that when it takes even less effort for somebody to not post a picture?

that being reasonable doesn't get a response.

so how is one to guess this rule exists on offtopic? and how is one to know that it's a stepping offence?
you're insisting on enforcing your rules on this board, they're nothing to do with the rules in the FAQ. If people "transgress", you have a go at them for it, they get arsey and either troll you or just leave, what do you expect?
the fact is the IMG tag works on offtopic, whether in a new thread or a reply, if you don't like it then I suggest you leave.

You know this. There's no need for anybody to get stroppy over it. If you post images, and I'm not saying you can't, you're likely to be ignored. Either by people just not posting in the thread or by people actively ignoring you.
If you don't like your images not being well received then I, in response, suggest you leave. We haven't come over to talk and started getting stroppy over the fact that you don't like food threads or whatever, you've come over here and got stroppy over us preferring not to have pictures on the board.
Again, nobody is saying you can't post them, just don't be surprised if it doesn't go down well.
