fucked if I knowedit - all they say is speeds of up to 16mb, up to being the operative word and no fucking fibre optics for me :((

Unless you do lots of file sharing then it shouldn't really matter. Edit: for uploads I mean. The deal you've got doesn't sound too bad. Check the connection speed again in a few weeks, sometimes they slow people down after a while, hoping they won't notice.
