Why is it
that I always, without fail, run into twunt ex with child when I look crappy and am stressed? Why can I not do the same when I look fantastic?

Isn't that always the worst?
I think it is part of Murphy's law.

I think you may be right.
And why is he always so infuriatingly nice? It makes it harder to remember he's a twunt with a ponytail and a beer belly.

That would be to make you regret dumpping the poor sod.
Or maybe you look better than you realize at the moment and he is having some serious regrets himself.

^ I'd like to think so
as I did mention Mr Maladicta several times in conversation and implied we were very happy together. Annoyingly, there is a part of me that still wibbles slightly in the presence of twunt ex with child.

He also wants to add me on Facebook but I doubt he remembers my last name.

Sounds like you handled it quite well.
And the wobbly will go away eventually. It is perfectly normal to continue to wobble for a bit. Just go enjoy the new Mr. And congrats on your new flat!

Ehh, I've seen him on and off for the last year
and never really got over him thanks to stupid hormones when I was on the pill, so I don't go rabbit-in-headlights like before but I don't handle him as well as I'd like (fnar).

We had to let the flat go unfortunately; the landlord practically wanted blood samples because I don't have a job yet and we felt it was a lot of jumping through hoops for what it was, so back to square one...

I'm sorry to hear about the square one.
But it will all come together eventually I hope.

How is the job hunt thing going? Being fresh out of UNI sucks, doesn't it?

Me too :( if I've not got anything by mid-Sept I'm fucked.
My real problem is that I have no work experience at all other than a few bits I did when I was at school, all of them unpaid, so technically I've never had a job. Employers don't like me much :( and I don't know how to get past it.

@M
Keep applying for jobs. Remember that all those who got the job won't be after the next job to come along.

Wash, rinse and repeat.

^ I'm applying all over Kent
and finding that if they don't want experience, they're in the middle of nowhere and I can't drive :(
