^^
Hiya!

I am very hungover, but my house is clean and ready for my big piss up tonight.

How are you? *offers kitten*
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 10:19, Reply)
yay!
how are you mr bk? is you birthday partying tonight?

ooh, a kitten! thanks!

*nibbles*
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 10:20, Reply)
It is.
Everyone I invited confirmed they were coming so I'm going to have around 30-35 people in my little house!
I'm slightly scared.

I heard the minibash went well last night. I almost dashed down to London after work but decided against it.

*takes another kitten out*
*nibbles in companiable fashion*
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 10:26, Reply)
Sounds like
a funfunparty!

all the bashes sound ace. I can't wait till I can finally get to one. I too thought about dashing down after work yesterday but - sensibly - decided against it. I wouldn't have got there till after midnight!

these kittens are tasty, did you grow them yourself?
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 10:29, Reply)
I did indeed.
With magic beans and catnip. They're well in season at the minute.

I can't wait for a bash I can get to. Definitely doing Edinburgh as it gives me the excuse to stop off at the folks on the way up, and Manchester and York's easy for me. Going to get me travel arranged at the end of the month for the London August one too.
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 10:32, Reply)
Mornings
I am here. Or here-ish anyway.

All well this morning?
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 10:35, Reply)
Magic kitten beans!!!
that is ace!

hey, I read your story a few posts down. It was indeed quite dark. where did you get the idea from?

I'm on my own at work today so I'm going to craft my own attempt at fiction today. Serious fiction, not silly b3taplay nonsense.

edit: good morning mr ofdeath! how fare thee today?
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 10:36, Reply)
Ningles!
*in pain*

I am cry. I left bash earlyish as I've got cricket today. Cricket is most likely off.

Bah. Stupid rain!

Hi HLT! *stealthhugs*
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 10:37, Reply)
Happy
birthday partying to you, BK! Hope it's a good one, and not too messy. Not in the house at least!
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 10:37, Reply)
Morning PoD.
I'm shaking a hangover off with copious tea and fags, but otherwise dandy.

How's yourself?

@Moniker

Thank you! I'm staying relatively with it to mingle and check that 4 seperate circles of friends who haven't met before get on.

Morning DiT

*edit* @hlt

It was a little extract from something bigger I had ideas for about a guy who's writing a novel but the characters keep appearing and telling him they don't like what he's doing with them.
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 10:37, Reply)
*finds arms round self*
who the - oh, it's you mr betighted diabolo!

no crickeet? is the weather being a corridor of uncertainty where you are?

I *heart* crickeet.

morning moniker!
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 10:38, Reply)
I'm still in bed
And I still feel reasonably crap. Oh well.

I take it you are working all day, my dear tulip?
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 10:40, Reply)
oh noes
*sends feelbetters to PoD*

*soothes*

*plumps up PoD's pillows*

I am indeed working all day today. Well, when I say working I mean drinking free coffee and trying to write my story.
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 10:44, Reply)
Well, it's not so much a corridor of uncertainty as a
torrent of biblical proportions.

Well, a bit o'drizzle anyway... :(

Still, it means b3taing is possible!
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 10:46, Reply)
Hoorah
I get taken care of via the medium of b3ta. Grand.

Still feel crap though.

Not a very busy day at the theatre then?
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 10:47, Reply)
@hlt
Set up the Wii in the theatre!
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 10:50, Reply)
rain, booo!
Hope it doesn't rain here today. What is it with cricketers and rain? It turns them into great sulking bears of misery.

I would love to set up the Wii here, but I don't have one, and our techie isn't here to play with*, so I'll have to stay here on b3ta.

bribe to put all the wires in the right places
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 10:52, Reply)
It's because
Our balls don't behave properly when it's raining.

and it's easy to slip and hurt yourself and it means we can't go out and play.
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 10:57, Reply)
@hlt
Ah, we all have our crosses to bear (bare?) *let down by language*

I'm sat with more tea with The Dresden Dolls on in the background.

In a bit I'm going into town to meet my brother and pick up my ticket for this:

Best live band ever!

isn't rob a charming young man?

how is everyone?

I'd be ok if I didn't have to drive to bristol just to get my fucking mobile phone that fell out of my pocket in furniture village....
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 11:00, Reply)
Dresden Dolls FTW!
And Clutch? You luky, lucky b'stard!

EDIT: Hey Vipros! Orlright?

I'm quite liking this new hang out I think.... despite my current very limited interwebs :(
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 11:06, Reply)
@DiT
I know! They seem to roll into these parts once a year so this is the third time I'll have seen them.
My best friend moved up to Edinburgh a few months back but he's coming back for this. A few afternoon bevvies in the Devonshire Cat, our fav pub, beforehand.

@Vipros

Morning sir!
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 11:07, Reply)
@DiT
I'm good thanks. mostly relaxed after a week in the peak district.

went to alton towers and went on my first ever rollercoaster (bearing in mind that I'm pretty scared of heights and don't particularly like going fast and being thrown around when I'm not in control)

I chose Nemesis as my first ride. It was ok. Didn't push many exitement buttons though, so I don't really feel the need to go on anymore.

didn't go on oblivion, but was pretty amazed to watch it!
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 11:07, Reply)
Ah, Nemesis.
That was my 1st Rollercoaster, too. Oblivion was my second.

I have not been on one since.

It was OK, and I liked the adrenaline, but I failed to find the whatever-it-is about it that makes other people so excited.

I also went on a ride called the 'Tidal Wave' at Busch Gardens in Florida when I was 10. It was, at the time, the highest log flume in the world. I cried and cried and cried at the top, and begged (I say begged, I mean screamed) the man in the small hut at the top of the drop to let me off.

I swear he smiled as he sent a screaming 10-year-old boy plummeting to his sure demise.

EDIT: Have a great one, BK!
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 11:12, Reply)
alton towers
would be fun if it wasn't always full.

I liked Air. But I was cross they got rid of the black hole.

Rita FTW. Nemesis not that good. Oblivion always terrifying...
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 11:14, Reply)
Morning all!
And morning Vipros - welcome back!
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 11:29, Reply)
Morning everyone
How are everyone's heads today?
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 11:36, Reply)
allo mr k
head is fine thank you, since I am at work.

how are you this grand day?
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 11:37, Reply)
Ning K2k6!
A little fuzzy, but otherwise ok. You?

However, I'm watching this programme called 'Snog Marry Avoid' on iPlayer.

They really must have found the most stupid poeple to be on this programme. But I can't stop watching, it's hypnotic!
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 11:37, Reply)
I'm quite fresh thanks, HLT
And have just spent a while watching some stuff I recorded from earlier in the week.

You missed a silly thread last night. I was slightly drunk...

@DiT - Is that like rachelswipe's (was it hers?) suggestion of shoot, shag, marry?
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 11:41, Reply)
Yep.
Except it's got girls who wear loads of make up and have no ambition past (and I quote) "well, I just wanna be the next Jodie Marsh and like be famous and that. And when I'm too old for that I'll start writing I'll be a writer 'cos I quite like writin'. I already started writing my autobiography."

This girl was 18! She also thinks Jodie Marsh is "Dead clever 'cos she wrote her own book."

Cripes.
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 11:44, Reply)
@k2k6 - were you squiffy for real? on real booze?
Step away from the telly, senor diabolo!
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 11:47, Reply)
Sounds like
a quality programme!

Yes, real alcohol. Petit Verdot, actually.

*adopts knowledgeable air*
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 11:48, Reply)
Top Quality.
By the way, the BBC is a uniquely funded by you, the public, to provide top quality programming.

Still. At least it makes me feel good about myself! :)
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 11:57, Reply)
small green things?
were you drinking pixies?
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 12:04, Reply)
I don't understand
why anyone bothers with biographies when they're still young.

Lewis Hamilton, for example. Much as I admire his driving for such a young bloke, it's not like he's got a massive track record (pun intended) worthy of writing books about.

Speaking of which, Silverstone qualifying will be on soon.

*checks schedules*

Yup. Now, in fact. Quali 1 starts 1pm.
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 12:06, Reply)
I wasn't drinking pixies
Although I was speaking to some last night, I seem to remember.
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 12:07, Reply)
You heard that Silverstone lost the GP?
And also:

Fuck Lewis Hamilton. A whiny, whiny little bitch. OK, he's had a hugely successful start to his F1 career, and is massively talented... But by god he could whine for Planet Earth in a Universe-Wide Moaning Contest.
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 12:10, Reply)
It's impossible to wish for success on race day for Lewis
when Felipe is there. Just wish F wasn't a Ferrari driver :(
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 12:12, Reply)
Yes, agreed DiT
He does seem to moan a lot. But then again, Nigel Mansell was just as bad. Only not such a good driver. I'm not a huge Hamilton fan though. I was hoping Alonso would win last year, but he blotted his copybook too. And Raikkonen's a dull git, cos he's a Finn.

You fancy a Brazilian then, clendrix?

(so to speak)
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 12:15, Reply)
I just wonder when Honda are going to hit some decent form.
With Ross Braun on board it surely can't be long.

EDIT: Agreed re: Mansell. My Dad's friend worked for Williams in the 90's. Apparently, NM is the biggest moaner in the world. And when he won, he used to deliver a speech from a lectern in the garage.

Great driver, though. It still amazes me that he never won the title more than once.
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 12:15, Reply)
Honda
will likely show us how it's done next year. With the aerodynamics changed so much, Ross Braun will have a clean sheet of paper to start with. And after few bananas, I'm sure he'll come up with a race winning car.

Right, I'm off for lunch and to watch the qualifying. See you all later.
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 12:21, Reply)
I think
there should be one race in the F1 calendar where all the drivers drive exactly the same car. same spec, same engine, everything. then we'd see who the best drivers were...
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 12:22, Reply)
HLT
If you want that, you should watch the A1 world championship...
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 12:25, Reply)
Point One:
I don't just like him cos I fancy him - I think he's a good driver.
Point Two - I do fancy him.
Point Three - We've done enough damage with all the nipple talk. I think I'll keep other areas out of B3ta bounds, or Al will be on here demanding pictures again.
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 12:26, Reply)
Morning!
(I've just woken up, so it is morning, despite evidence to the contrary.)
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 13:51, Reply)
morning kaol
how are you?
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 13:52, Reply)
Good thanks!
Slept for nearly 11 hours!
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 13:53, Reply)
lucky you
what you up to today?
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 13:56, Reply)
Er...
I'm waiting for a call from my drummer.
Then I'm off to his for a practice.
Then maybe watch some zombie films with him and my guitarists.
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 13:58, Reply)
So Heiki did it
Afternoon all. Just been watching the F1 qualifying. Finns 1st and 3rd, and Mark Webber turning in a tremendous performance for 2nd.

Your Brazilian was way off the pace, clendrix. (Oh, sorry, wasn't going to mention that...)
(, Sat 5 Jul 2008, 14:33, Reply)
Sigh
I know. But he'll make up for it.
