General Galtieri, remember him, was interviewed in Time magazine and said that if Britain cancelled the Falklands supply ships then they would not hesitate to invade. Maggie was at the time the most unpopular Prime Minister in history. So she cancelled the supply ship. And Galtieri immediately ordered the invasion. And hey presto, opinion polls turned right round.
