We took the kids to the Science Museum a couple of months ago and weren't impressedThe National History Museum next door, on the other hand, was awesome, particularly the kids lab in the basement, a free hour playing with microscopes and stuff.

It was free when we went in Februarywebsite says so too - it's called the "investigation centre".
Dinosaur bit costs extra though and is queued up (we didn't bother)
Best to go down there first and book in for later, gets busy.
