One is not a replacement for the other if there is a huge treck involved.
He could get in a 10-15m (whatever) cab and have a nice meal thats alrightly priced, even get cheap cinema tickets out of it, and get a free bottle out of it. It can be done without any prior-thought really, just, sitting around on a dull evening and invite out the misses.

For your one, it probably does do really nice food, even better food probably, but he has to plan it. And personally, if I was going from MK to central london for a posh meal, I probably wouldn't choose a mama'n'papa pizza joint unless mates have already decided to meet there.
