I went to my see my Grandad in Canada last year for the funeral
It taken me two weeks to get my sleeping pattern and two weeks to get it back when I came home.

The rule of thumb is it takes one day for every hour of time difference.
When I was travelling to & from Asia with work I found staying up until midnight in whatever time zone you were in for the first couple of nights (no matter how difficult that was) helped reduce that - advice I received from a long haul pilot.
