Chelmsford is a very hard pitch, and Bopara plays it well.
He's got lovely spin action but it doesn't really work anywhere else.

I see a future in IPL for Ravi, but he's no use here.

Yes he is
Saw him taunted into hopelessness by the Western Terrace hardcore a few years ago. Wasn't very constructive, but if you can't handle a plastic flamingo lobbed at your head what chance do you stand?
