Re salt: I rarely add salt to food (but am known to on occasion), but do like salty popcorn. My sister however likes creating miniature salt-molehills on her plate. Sometimes, I wonder if one of us was adopted.
@beckx: Thanks for the sympathy. These things usually drag on for ages. That's why I leave a month in advance to organise them. With luck, they might subsidise part of my travel, but as they're just a small company, this seems unlikely.
As for the number of applications, when I first started out post university, I recon I must have made some 200 appliations, had 20 first interviews and 1½ second-interviews before I got my first job offer. The second time around was still hard, but much easier.
Also, you have my sympathy for having gone through anorexia and bulimia and got to the point where you say "fuck it!".

I think I should have said that I dislike the media for brainwashing people. But basically, I agree with what beckx said. Also, it's not just resisting the media yourself, but also resisting your peers who have been brainwashed by the media.
