Belgian beer isn't all flavoured/sweet.
They do a lot of very strong beers, and wheat beers. They tend to age their beers for longer than most european beers as well.

The chap at my local beer emporium keeps trying to persuade me to share in his passion for Gueuze.
As far as I can tell it is old beer mixed in with new beer and isn't very nice.
It certainly isn't sweet or fruity, anyway.

Yes, I know.
I've probably spent more time out drinking in Belgium than any other country bar the UK or the US. I'm taking the piss out of Gonz's curious tastebuds.
