This is what's wrong with a lot of companies, and even more so in public sectorToo many unnecessary layers of management. Worst of all are public sector recently outsourced to private (housing, social care, soon the NHS, etc) as there have to be extra "contract managers" etc. That Furness hospital cover-up is just an example of the tip of a very large mountain of gravy trains and arse-covering that sucks funds from where they should be going to - patients.
