This is the beauty of not having kids,
You go on holiday outside of the holiday period nd never deal with airports like that. And with motorways, just get up really early to get on the road.

Yep I normally drive to Cornwall and set off between 4-5am
The whole idea to be on the A30 by 8.30am

This is a sensible thing to do,
I remember trying to drive to Bournemouth on a sunny day. And just sitting on the m27 for about 2 hours in my old Morris minor. Never again.

I made that mistake once and sat on the A30 for three hours it was only about 8 miles to St Ives
