To a point, it's more basic equations to memorise. And adding conversion factors from lists of tables depending on circumstances. But there is a really good "on site guide" that basically has almost everything you need as a quick reference.

The gas one is a bit more intense as far as I can tell, But it's more maths than I've used since 16 that's for sure.
