I think Gonz should go on Come Dine With Me
What other B3tans should appear on TV? On what programme?
(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 18:32, 153 replies, latest was 11 years ago)
Chompy. The Bill.

(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 18:39, Reply)
Heh. Nicely done.

(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 18:41, Reply)
Has he raped someone?

(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 18:41, Reply)
It's a reference to the whole Swipe/Chompy saga. He didn't pay for dinner.

(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 18:43, Reply)
Well, I'm a bit slow aren't I.

(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 18:44, Reply)
Good day at school dear?

(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 18:45, Reply)
Yeah, it's going well I think.
A lot to learn in a short time.
(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 18:46, Reply)
I wish I had the balls to retrain & do something completely new. Wouldn't earn as much though.
I quite like the idea of being a prison governor for some reason.
(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 18:53, Reply)
I couldn't do it without knowing that no matter what either my brother or dad would help if they thought I was doing it all for the right reasons.
So I've got a good safety net. Plus lady pig I'd supportive.

Is it all high tech now?
notes on an ipad etc?

My brain couldn't cope with new education now. I barely manage with a new drama on telly.
(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 18:54, Reply)
Not for me,
I've got an old A4 refill and a bic biro.
Most high tech bit of gear I've got is an old mathematical calculator from when I was 16 (not including test equipment)
(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 18:57, Reply)
I expect there is a lot of maths involved.

(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 18:58, Reply)
To a point, it's more basic equations to memorise.
And adding conversion factors from lists of tables depending on circumstances. But there is a really good "on site guide" that basically has almost everything you need as a quick reference.
(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 18:59, Reply)
My mate in Oxford (that I think I've mentioned to you before) had to learn loads for his Gas Safe qualification.

(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 19:11, Reply)
The gas one is a bit more intense as far as I can tell,
But it's more maths than I've used since 16 that's for sure.
(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 19:12, Reply)
Don't worry, you're a bright SPARKy, you'll VOLT up the tables no matter WATT.

Be prepared to spend a couple of days gazing at all the stuff in Bilbao Park.

In other news I am listening to the Dubliners.
Excellent.
(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 20:03, Reply)
I'd disagree
But then I've got a fairly good taste in music.
(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 20:06, Reply)
I just watched a bluegrass version of 'kiss from a rose'
The only thing bluegrass about it was a fucking banjo, other than that it was a few X factor type twats singing every note in between the actual ones warbling all over the place and wearing cowboy shirts.
That's my musical input for the day.
(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 20:18, Reply)
I'm trying to work
But I'm on the work v wine inverse correlation slope.

Marc Riley's opener tonight was Roxy Music "Both ends burning" which derailed the process a bit.
(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 20:21, Reply)
I think that's a decent enough tune to warrant a slight derailment.

(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 20:27, Reply)
You're new around here
Expressing approbation of Roxy Music doesn't go down well.
(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 20:32, Reply)
I will take my chances.

(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 20:34, Reply)
He's talking bollocks. Don't pay any heed.

You a Roxy Music fan, Battered?
Wouldn't have expected that.
(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 20:40, Reply)
No. However I dislike musical fascism.
Positive or negative.
(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 20:41, Reply)
I understand the sentiment
I'd say it's more parochialism.
(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 20:43, Reply)

And so you should.
(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 20:39, Reply)
Fanks for your support man.

(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 20:45, Reply)

Inspect front of shirt. It's a cunt to get off.
(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 20:48, Reply)
That's the only bad thing about ribs.
Looking like you have the eating style of a mongoloid baby after.
(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 20:49, Reply)
I've been told watching me eat ribs is both a delight and horror be behold.

(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 20:50, Reply)
I would take that as a compliment.
Get it printed on a t shirt, and wear it on this day every year when you celebrate Rib Day.
Or not, up to you innit.
(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 20:57, Reply)
Hah, but not a white shirt.

(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 21:16, Reply)

OK in the house but ordering them in a restaurant means you usually get a bib. I know they mean well but I don't expect a waiter to put nappies on me when I order a curry.
(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 20:53, Reply)
No if they've been cooked properly so that the ribs slide easily off the bone.

(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 20:56, Reply)

Beef yeah, pork not so much. I love dunking the bones in the sauce which probably explains the bib.
(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 20:57, Reply)
Absolute crap.
They should be cooked sous vide for about 6 hours at 65c, then pork ribs are as soft as cream cheese.
(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 20:58, Reply)

The joy of ribs to me is ripping the periosteum off the bone with your teeth. It shouldn't be impossible but I don't want it to fall off the bone before I can get to my mouth. Same with chops.
(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 21:05, Reply)
Food pleb.
I bet you copy recipes from Man v Food.
(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 21:11, Reply)
Come on now, we all like our name chanted at us as we plough into a John Merrick shaped burger.

(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 21:14, Reply)

Hold the trunk!
(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 21:17, Reply)

No. There is no right or wrong, only how you like it. Some folk like well-done steak, I don't. Doesn't make it wrong, though.

I like long slow cooking of some cuts though. Ox tails for example.
(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 21:16, Reply)
Anyone having a well done steak should be shot.

(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 21:21, Reply)

Well, I might secretly think that too. But if that's how people want to eat it, how can I assert that my preferred method of meat cooking is superior without coming across as a grandiosed fuckwit? I also don't like The Dubliners but you do. Doesn't make either of us right. Sup to everyone what they like and how..
(, Wed 28 Aug 2013, 21:29, Reply)

It's bedtime but let me tell you that I grew up in Barrow-in-Furness - where all the nuclear submarines are built - and I saw Billy Bragg first at an anti-nuke rally in 1983.
