becausethe books are the best thing, ever! they are scream out loud, embarrass yourself laughing like a loon on the tube, funny. if you were a teenage girl in a girly gang at school like i was, anyway...
also, they should be compulsory reading for 14 year old boys. there would be no more misunderstandings between the sexes if men read those books and learned how girls think. they are the law!!!!
having said that, the film is ok. some good bits, but mostly made me snarl as the books are so much better...
