I hate those adverts for sofas where rather than saying 'now only five hundred and ninety-nine pounds' or whatever
They say 'now only five nine nine!'.

It drives me mental.

I imagine that surveys of the kind of wankers who actually shop with them
show that the longer it takes to actually say the price the more expensive it seems, also of course you pay for ads by the second.
