I'm not sure if they do it to make them look important or to save time.
It certainly doesn't do the latter because I just look fed up and go 'what does that mean' at absolutely everything.

Yesterday's tutorial said 'well you might want to say you took a *fancy term here* approach to it, briefly describe it and then say what's good about it and what's bad about it using appropriate references'.
Trouble is, all the theory and textbooks that I can actually understand are utter, utter, utter bollocks and don't actually bear any resemblance to the 'we're going to spend ten minutes talking about intubating someone' sit down I actually did.

But 90% of the time I've not seen the issue before either.
One of these days I'm going to have to call his bluff and save a word document with 'panicked, googled like fuck; picked the most relevant result, copied.'
It's as if all analysis, guesswork and general nous can be replaced by a .doc
