chickenladyI have no objection to her going all out to ensure that she has a job. I'd do the same in that situation. But I'd also ensure that I turned up on the day specified, and if for any reason I couldn't would ring HR to let them know. I would also accept that my failure to not notify anyone that I couldn't make it would mean that it was my fuck-up, and therefore my fault. Not my child's, not HR's, or anyone else's. Mine.
