I would recommend the Red lion at Hunningham - good food with no mention of 'nestling', 'Jus' or 'blanketing'

I'm starting to think I might not bother though, there is football on television this evening and the Christmas meal season is more or less here, meaning a pub with a lot of novices in it.

If the Pub grub is that good - do it! You don't have to have some Turkey-based cook/chill crap. I would suggest a pork-based meal, preferably belly.
