@Axai: I know a few geeks who didn't have a childhood like that, but can better empathise with the ones that did. I did have some friends as a teenager, but they were geeks too. I'm keeping my location secret to reduce the chance of potential employers googling like mad until they find my b3ta posting-history, but I'll Gaz anyone who asks.
BTW: We call eachother by our real names. It's sort of like learning sex education at school. It's nothing you don't already know - they just have different names for everything.
@MM: I feel a bit left out from missing out when everyone went to their first bash and were all shy and nervous, but I did quickly fit in with my first bash (where everyone else had already met a b3tan before). I think the megabash will be a different kettle of fish alltogether from a 5-person bash. The first-bash nerves does sort of remind me of my first Internet Dating experience.
