Well, since we've got a specific thread for it...
I've going to reprise my grump from the tail end of last night's HSH thread, beacause it was a good rant and the subject deserves it:
"Meh...
I think I've read about as much as I can take of the new QOTW. I've only got a limited tolerance for (what I tend to see as) short term nostalgia, especially over whatever pieces of plastic people pestered their parents into procuring for the purposes of prepubescent peace (although I do however quite enjoy alliteration).
Star wars Toys. Power Rangers, Transformers, Mighty Fucking Max? Fine, they were an essential piece of your childhood, but unless you happen to have saved some pristine packaged pieces (and if so - why? I thought you were supposed to be a child), keep one or two pieces which was special to you and toss the rest.
Sure, I've got a nostalgia box (Ok, and a few othe treasured things scattered around the houe) - but it's one box, and it will get opened up in 10 or 20 years or me to relive my youth then.
To all of you toy hoarders? Just fucking grow up will you.
*Grumps*"
