arrrgh
My computer rebooted because of that stupid live updater thing and I don't think it's saved all the work I was doing this morning! Would it have saved it anywhere else?
*cries*
*Reads Captains post below*
*laughs*
*back to crying*

Oh dear...
Er...
What programme were you using?
(, Fri 15 Aug 2008, 16:48, Reply)
Excel
*wimpers* I'm not going to get it back am I?

I may be able to make most of it up...
(, Fri 15 Aug 2008, 16:49, Reply)
Open it up.
Click "file".

See if your stuff comes up as one of the four "recent documents"

I'm just going to make it up...
I was phoning loads of stores asking about refits and I reeeeeeaaaaly don't have time to do it all again. I think I can pretty much remember it :S

Hmmm...
Well, you could always gaz Legless, he's fuckin' awesome at this kind of thing, just a shame that he's on Australian time now.

If it didn't ask if you'd like to recover the document
when you opened Excel again, it's probably gone. I'm no expert any more, but it might be worth searching the drive for *.xls and seeing if the most recent document has a tilde (that little wavy line my bastard phone doesn't appear to have) at the start. If it does, try opening it... It might be a temporary file.

This goes back a few years so I openly accept if I'm parsecs behind modern technology.

*tries to resist urge to point out that a parsec is a unit of distance not time*
*fails*

You're correct.

That is all.

I beg to agree Vipros
It's about 3.3 light years. I used it instead of "miles" ;)

realised ^this later on
miles behind, not years behind

understandable mistake, but makes me feel a little bit stupid ;-)
