TorchwoodWas the code name assigned to Doctor Who when the series was first green lit to come back. To ensure that scripts didn't fall into the wrong hands or anything, they came up with the anagram.
Once they realised they had a hit on their hands, they thought 'Fuck it. Torchwood - that sounds good, lets make it a series'.
