That was the point at which I switched off and the theme from 'Magic Roundabout' started playing in my head on the classroom days.
My most common question to the lecturers 'Yes, but what do you actually WANT with this piece of work?'

I was rather passive-aggressively referred to in the 'problem students' session as 'the one who doesn't see the point in anything'.

I rather pointedly answered the 'what do you do with this one' question with 'give them a sensible rationale for why something is one, rather than parrot off a load of guff'.
