I was fired from my first job. At the time, it came as a bit of a shock to me, but in hindsight, it was basically because I had the attitude where I took my employment for granted. Have since learned the error of my ways and learned to take my jobs more seriously blah blah blah, but when I was interviewing for my second job, I outright lied when asked why I had left my previous job. The interviewer looked me straight in the eye and asked if they made me leave or if I left on my own accord. I looked him back and said I left on my own accord. This interview led to a job offer and I stayed for a couple of years until I handed in my resignation. I have no regrets about the interview and my lie did not come back to haunt me.
