I can think of far too many, so brace yourself.Questionable Content has very pretty art and is mostly very good.
Scary Go Round is my all-time favourite webcomic and is probably the most English comic on the internet, the current storyline featuring the crime-fighting trio Butcher, Baker and Candlestick Maker.
Girl Genius is another beautifully drawn comic, a huge steampunk adventure with giant robots and mechanical mind-control wasps.
That's probably enough to be going on with, I reckon.
