Ning Nings All and Sundry!
How art thou on this fine morn?
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 8:32, 54 replies, latest was 16 years ago)
Good morning
I am good thank you sir.

Just about to get into the bath.

It is Mr Bin's last day at his job today. He's been there for about 2 and a half years and hated every minute of it.
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 8:50, Reply)
He is
in the same position I was 2ish years ago in my last job. Moved to a new job and couldn't be happier :)

Morning all
All is well, been up since 6 and have polished off umpteen cups o' tea and a black pudding sarnie. Shower, fag & more tea await.

The only blot on the landscape is the outlaws coming later on ...... Into every life a lump of dogshit must fall I suppose.

Aww
You can't have your cake and eat it Swanny!

Hungover
And bleary eyed, due to a surfeit of work over the past week. I have a list of jobs from the Duchess, but I cannot be arsed until at least lunchtime.
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 10:02, Reply)
True.
I have a cock load of firewood which requires chopping so may vent my frustrations on it when they've gone.

Still, It's Saturday, I have precious few demands upon my time so I shall enjoy. Have a marvelous day people.
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 10:07, Reply)
I despair, I really do.
I have offered my rice cooker on Freecycle.

Today I received this email:

'student off to uni would like this'

That's it. No capital letters, no punctuation, no please or thank you. FFS

@Hlt
My curiosity has been piqued, Where are you?
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 10:53, Reply)
I'm
feeling quite cathartic after unleashing the story of my most calamitous night with a lady on the QOTW.

It's 100% true, which makes it even worse.
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 10:54, Reply)
@ Swanny
I'm at work, as usual!

How are you?

But I'm on my own, which means I can craft my latest qotw effort.
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 10:56, Reply)
I'm at work today : (
However I shall soon be off shopping : )

@SA - I read that and couldn't believe it. Oh dear!
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 10:57, Reply)
Work?
Chuffin' 'ell! Ah well, QOTW cultivation while getting paid is consolation indeed.

I'm good thanks - Got some friends coming over shortly with their kids who are going to traumatize the cat.

I envisage a visit to the vets for treatment of PTSD.
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 11:04, Reply)
Right I'm off.
Might catch some of you later : )
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 11:11, Reply)
just posted my latest
it'll make you cry.

Just dipping in briefly
to say hello.

So...Hello, all!

I had a quick squizz at yesterday's thread and it appears I missed lots of boobie jiggling.

Damn!

And there was that thing about boobies and chocolate sauce too...
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 11:56, Reply)
hello k2k6!
how are you today?
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 12:00, Reply)
Afternoon, tulip
I'm sniffing with hay fever, but otherwise fine.

Except that my car has yet another problem. Lack smoke and lack of power. The garage thinks it's a EGR valve, which probably means the turbo's on the way out.

What fun. :(
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 12:07, Reply)
aw, boo hiss
that's no fun at all!

have a cheery uppy snog

*snogs*
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 12:08, Reply)
Thanks, HLT
Not if you could just come and jiggle your boobies over my car, I'm sure that would fix everyting!
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 12:13, Reply)
I don't think so
It never works for me.

*sigh*
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 12:14, Reply)
You do
have a German car though, so (vandalism and arson aside) it doesn't go wrong so much!

Edit - Lunchtime. Back later.
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 12:26, Reply)
No, but
It's old and makes grating boomy noises I don't like.
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 13:01, Reply)
Dossing as usual
I've got a new phone system to install, ironing of shirts for Junior's first day at Big School, general tidying, a BFO roast dinner to prepare, and I can't be arsed.

Instead I am sitting around on the bed, having gone upstairs for a shower 2 hours ago, and have managed to take off my shirt, read through the QOTW and bash together my own piece of dribble (shameless nudge).

The missis is not impressed as she is doing important domestic things.
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 13:04, Reply)
'lo osok!
Not pootling around in your attic today then?
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 13:08, Reply)
I do have one or two
Loft-related tasks, but I need to wait for darkness.

I'll probably scan some more photos as well, there'll be some kilt ones in there I'm sure, but I have to wait until the 18 month old is kipping as she turns the house PC off. Repeatedly.
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 13:10, Reply)
oooOOOO dark!
good qotw story btw.

*shamelessly nudges to own post*

Soft Git
I could hear the violins...
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 13:28, Reply)
I'm back
and I've just discovered that the EGR valve isn't covered under my extended warranty, like virtually everything which has gone wrong with my car since I took the warranty out. They obviously do their homework when listing exclusions.

But if the turbo blows up I'm covered.

Probably in oil.
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 13:34, Reply)
K2K6
What lovely knackered-turbo vehicle do you have?
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 13:36, Reply)
if only your car ran on marmalade
...

edit@ osok - I presume you weren't referring to the latest one!
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 13:38, Reply)
It's a Laguna 2.2dCi estate
which I bought new in 2003. I've had 113000 miles of endless trouble since.

Edit@HLT - Your latest story is a bit worrisome.
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 13:38, Reply)
worrisome? how?
probably not as worrisome as your car...
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 13:48, Reply)
Just the fact you were in that pub in the first place
But you're right about the car!
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 13:50, Reply)
aw, what a gent!
It's all right though, I only go to nice pubs now.
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 13:52, Reply)
Yes, I'm sure
the pubs in your neck of the woods are nicer than that.

I only know the hotels, mind you. I've played gigs in Ednam House and the Cross Keys, and they're both OK.

Right, I'm off to have a rummage under the bonnet of my car to see what I can find. Other than an engine.
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 14:00, Reply)
HLT
You know which one I'm talking about.

K2K6. Surprised it made it to 113k. (Sorry). Would you have had loads of electrical problems, perchance? If it hasn't, then it isn't a 'proper' Renault.
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 14:01, Reply)
I'm waiting in town for Mr Bin
Why do so many white boys want to make out they live in a ghetto?
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 14:06, Reply)
Because
They're fuckwits?

Too stupid to realise that the lifestyle they emulate and applaud involves the distribution of drugs that bring misery to millions, degradation of women (not that most wiggas have ever got their hands on a real one), the routine murder of their own because of fictional differences or factions, and the very real chance of ending up on a slab by the age of twenty.

And crap music (mostly).

And our lot over here are so completely addled by Sunny Delight and Pot Noodle that they truly believe that a Saxo can be pimped and look anything but stupid.

*shudders*

in other news, I've just spend the last half hour reading some dreadful poetry that some poor mug wants us to exhibit. I haven't laughed that hard for a while.

*goes to soothe tummy muscles*
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 14:52, Reply)
Was it something I said?
*Tumbleweeds*
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 15:42, Reply)
Hmmm
It seems to have gone very quiet.

@Osok - surprisingly my car has had very few electrical glitches. Most of the problems have been mechanical: suspension, steering and the like. Plus a clutch, oil leaks, water leaks, things seizing up, etc.

And today, it's going fine. No sign of yesterday's trouble. Revs to the limiter, pulls well, no excessive smoke.

Bloody thing.
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 16:32, Reply)
Now chaps.
I have a question. Can I get away with not wearing a bra?
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 16:35, Reply)
Mrs L
Of course.

This should become virtually universal practice.
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 16:38, Reply)
Well they do
still point to the heavens and I can't hold a pencil underneath them, I guess maybe you're right.
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 16:43, Reply)
Oh, er, excuse me a minute
*goes to get tissues*

*utilises*

OK, so what were you saying there? Yes, I think you could get off without wearing said undergarment.
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 16:46, Reply)
Mrs Bin's boobs.
*jealouses*
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 17:01, Reply)
@BGB
We've only got her word for this though.

Without invoking The Rule we can't be sure.
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 17:05, Reply)
Ah BGB
You'll understand.
I have this dress I really like, and I am wearing at the moment but you can't really wear a bra with it. When I'm just knocking about the house it doesn't matter, but I think it looks tacky seeing women out without bras on.
I think I'll just get changed.
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 17:06, Reply)
I bet Mr Bin doesn't complain : o
If your just at home then don't worry.

The last time I could go bra-less, I was still at school.

Edit - Just realised you were going to wear the dress out. Yup! need a bra unless your under 25. Upstanding biscuit baking members of the community must wear a bra in public.
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 17:10, Reply)
Oh Mr Bin loves it
he might phone up though and want to go out when he finishes work.
Can I be bothered to get changed is the real question
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 17:12, Reply)
I see your problem, Mrs L
While Mr Bin will undoubtedly thin it's great, you don't want to be leered at.

Hmm, 'tis difficult. Know which option I'd prefer though....

Anyway, I must be off.

See you all tomorrow.
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 17:14, Reply)
Me too!
I have to make some phone calls.

Catch you later perchance.
(, Sat 30 Aug 2008, 17:15, Reply)
better had really
sorry to disappoint K2K6

*edit* Mr Bin just phoned to say he's coming home with a friend from work who's been single for about the last 5 years, and I can tell why.

I'm going to put on something that does up to the neck I think.
