altalt. My ex boss wouldn't let us leave early when the Manchester riots happened.
We were in a city centre office and due to finish at 8pm. I previously walked round to get some milk and it was like a dead zone.
I had to walk through the middle of it after work, shops being smashed and raided. I feared for my very life.

altalt. It's religious extremists we should be fearful of, not religion itself, though that has its own issues.
People who use religion as a front for their hatred and their power gains.
