When I was about 8I was looking forward to growing facial hair, so I could sculpt it in weird and wonderful shapes (eg. spiral sideburns). This urge didn't last until puberty, but I've been known to be 'creative' when shaving off my many goatees. What I did was to basically divide it into mini-beards by shaving channels of clear skin through my chin-forest.
