I quite often say hello to people and then realise it's only because I've seen them on a regular basis, like customers where I've worked or something.
It's even worse when I'm drunk because I feel compelled to stop and explain why I'm speaking to them.
Edit - Tiger Tiger - now there's a club. They would have bowls of sweets! In a club! Now that's clever. Put free sweets anywhere and I'm guaranteed to turn up.
